Serve this trio of Sweet & Spicy Fruity Dipping Sauces- Mango-Salsa, Cherry BBQ and Orange-Ginger- alongside your favorite meatballs for the perfect game day or party appetizer...
That is why I am loving this recipe for Sweet & Savory Fruity Dipping Sauces for meatballs. I like to use frozen and fully cooked meatballs, so all I need to do is heat up the meatballs (Easy, peasy, right?). While the meatballs are heating, I quickly whip up 3 different dipping sauces for these party-perfect meatballs: Mango-Salsa, Cherry BBQ and Orange-Ginger. Your guests are sure to find one or more of these sauces that they will love dipping these meatballs in, and you're going to love how much of the game you don't miss serving these up...

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients (Serves 6-8)
- Frozen turkey meatballs (32 oz. package)
- 1 cup restaurant style salsa
- 1/2 cup frozen mango chunks (pureed with 1/4 cup water)
- 1 cup of your favorite barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup tart cherry preserves
- 2/3 cup orange marmalade
- 1/2 tsp. fresh ginger, peeled and grated
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar

Prepare the meatballs according to the package directions.
While the meatballs are baking, prepare the 3 dipping sauces. For the Salsa-Mango Sauce, combine the salsa and pureed mango in a small saucepan over medium heat until heated through, stirring often, about 3-5 minutes. For the Cherry BBQ Sauce, combine the barbecue sauce and cherry preserves in a small saucepan and heat over medium heat until heated through, about 3 to 5 minutes. For the Orange-Ginger Sauce, combine the orange marmalade, ginger, soy sauce and vinegar in a small saucepan and heat over medium heat 3 to 5 minutes, stirring often.
To serve, plate the meatballs and serve with toothpicks. Serve the 3 prepared sauces alongside the meatballs. Enjoy!

I used frozen turkey meatballs to keep this appetizer a little on the lighter side and because they also happen to be quick and convenient. But you could feel free to use frozen fully cooked beef meatballs or your favorite homemade meatball recipe with these dipping sauces. :)
