This is a sponsored post on behalf of Persil Proclean 2in1. All opinions (& messy stains) expressed below are 100% my own.

If you happen to read my blog pretty regularly, you might have already noticed this by now- But when it comes to game day, I am in it only for the food, folks. Period.

And with the biggest game of the year happening later on this week, I have been in full-on game day menu planning over here.

Personally, I do not have a stake in this year's game. But no matter which team you may or may not be rooting for this coming Sunday, one thing is for sure- there is no reason in the world why your football party menu can't be the MVP of the day. ;)

One item that is always a must-make for game day in our house has to be something Buffalo sauced. Whether it be my Buffalo Parmesan Hummus, or this Creamy Buffalo Ranch Potato Salad, or these flavorful Roasted Garlic Boneless Buffalo Wings that I am sharing with you all today, my game day menu isn't complete without something spicy & saucy.

And let me tell you all about these boneless wings for a sec- they are pretty much ah-mazing. Like lick your fingers clean amazing. And I am not saying that just because I made them, folks.

My son even went so far as to suggest that I patent this recipe & then sell the rights to a certain restaurant chain that is well known for their wings. ;)

These boneless "wings" are perfectly breaded & fried until crispy & golden brown (I may or may not have posted a video of this golden frying goodness on my Instagram), and then they are tossed in a rich roasted garlic Buffalo sauce...

So there may be only one downside to these crowd pleasing Roasted Garlic Boneless Buffalo Wings- they are really saucy, friends. And what happens with saucy foods? Well, you are usually dealing with a stain or two on that good luck game day shirt.

But no worries when you have a bottle of Persil Proclean 2in1 in the house!

See that stain on the far left? That was my husband's doing. If he is wearing white & happens to come any where near something with sauce on it, then it is pretty much guaranteed that at least a little bit of that sauce will find its way onto his shirt somehow. ;)

But with two stain treatments and two washes using my trusty Persil Proclean 2in1, that Buffalo sauce stain came out completely

We are talking hot sauce, olive oil roasted garlic, and melted butter, folks. I was doubtful that anything would get that stain out. The first treatment and wash definitely faded the stain significantly, but I could still see where it had been.

But the second treatment and wash? 100% gone! I am a believer, folks.

prep time: 20 min cook time: 55 min total time: 75 min

ingredients:

For the Roasted Garlic Buffalo Sauce
  • 1 whole head of garlic
  • Olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of your favorite hot sauce
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) of cold, unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8-1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • Salt, to taste
For the boneless wings
  • 4 chicken breasts, trimmed of fat & cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • Canola or vegetable oil
  • Celery,  blue cheese, & Ranch dressing, for serving (optional)

instructions:

How to cook Roasted Garlic Boneless Buffalo Wings

  1. To roast the garlic
  2. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Peel away most of the paper from a whole head of garlic. Trim off the top of the head of garlic exposing the tops of the cloves. Place the head of garlic on a piece of aluminum foil, & then drizzle a little olive oil over the top of the exposed cloves of garlic. Wrap the foil around the head of garlic and roast in the oven for about 40 minutes. Let cool to warm before handling. Squeeze 8-10 of the roasted cloves from their papers & mash in a small bowl. Set aside.
  3. For the roasted garlic Buffalo sauce
  4. In a small saucepan, combine the hot sauce, butter, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, & the mashed roasted garlic cloves. Heat over medium heat stirring often until the butter has melted. Whisk until smooth. Season with salt to taste, & then set aside.
  5. For the boneless wings
  6. While the sauce is starting to heat, prepare the boneless wings. Pour about 1/2 inch of canola or vegetable oil in a 12-inch cast iron skillet or a large, deep skillet. Start to heat the oil over medium-high heat. In a large (gallon sized) storage bag, add in the flour, salt, pepper, & cayenne pepper. Seal the bag and shake well to combine. Add in the chicken pieces, seal the bag, and shake well until all of the chicken pieces are evenly coated in the flour mixture. When the oil is hot, add in the boneless wings. Fry on each side until golden brown and cooked through (about 5-7 minutes per side).
  7. Transfer to a paper towel lined paper to let the oil drain off a bit, and then immediately toss the boneless wings in the roasted garlic Buffalo sauce.
  8. Serve immediately with celery, blue cheese, & Ranch dressing, if desired.
