My son, who is now a junior in high school, has reached that level in math and science where I am absolutely no help to him whatsoever. My husband is a bit more helpful in those areas, but let's face it- we both graduated high school over 20 years ago and most of what we learned in algebra & chemistry is now a distant memory. Being a former teacher (social studies, folks), I can't help but feel guilty and helpless when I see him struggling with a math problem or a chemistry equation. I have struggled for the past year or so on what to do to help when I see him scrambling to understand a concept or to pass a test. In-person tutoring is so difficult for us to do since most of his after school time is already spent at cross country or track practice. Tacking on another hour to his already packed schedule so he can receive some after school tutoring just doesn't seem fair. I mean, a teenager needs a little a time each day to just be a teenager, right? ;) And then there is the cost of private tutoring... don't get me started on that!

But we have finally found a homework/tutoring solution that is quick, convenient, affordable, and efficient with Mentored online tutoring...

Mentored sessions can last up to 20 minutes each, and only cost $5 per session! When you compare that to a private in-person tutoring session that average around $60 an hour, the savings to parents are more than obvious. Plus, there is no wasted time commuting back and forth to a location for tutoring. Your child and their mentor can get started right away tackling the problem at hand and getting it solved usually well within the 20 minute window.

Mentored is convenient and easily accessible from a smart phone, your tablet, laptop or PC, or even your iPad or iPhone

So, what did my son think of Mentored? :) He loves how quick and easy it is to use the service. He also loved that he didn't have to watch his mother waste 20+ minutes of her life Googling a concept or subject just to still not understand it enough to help him with it. ;) He also loves the fact that he can access Mentored from multiple devices very easily. I mean, let's face it- sometimes our kids are on the bus to a meet or game when they are catching up on homework or in their rooms with their iPad or tablet. He doesn't have to have access to a laptop or PC to get the homework help that he needs with Mentored.
