While Little Miss is considered a princess just about everyday by myself and most who know her, every once in a while a little girl just deserves a day to truly be treated like a princess. To have a complete princess makeover, to have a tea party with another princess, and to kick back and enjoy a truly royal movie.
And even though I am a stay-at-home mom, I also happen to be a work-at-home mama. Most days I am able to make plenty of time for Little Miss, but other days I am not. (Cue the mom guilt, folks.)
I love to plan days like this with my littlest every so often to bring balance to the SAHM/WAHM conundrum. And I have to let you all in on a little secret... this mama just happens to love to play princess herself. Is that something us gals ever really grow out of? ;)
Before we could have our Princess For the Day day, we had to pick out some royally essential Disney princess supplies at Walmart...
Seriously, all. It was a little princess's dream come true to be treated to a mini shopping spree. After picking up some lovely nail polishes for our manicures, Little Miss then gravitated towards all things Princess Sofia...
Oh yes, folks. Little Miss got a full on Princess Sofia makeover for her special day! :) And I know that I may be just a little biased, but isn't she the most stinking cutest Princess Sofia you have ever seen?
She was tickled pink (scratch that- tickled purple) to have her very own amulet just like Sofia's. And the best part? It talks to you! I am pretty sure this is Little Miss's new favorite. ;)
After sitting down to tea with her Princess Sofia doll, it was then time for mommy/daughter princess perfect manicures. Baby girl went with a Cinderella blue, and I picked out the Aurora pink.
Have you even seen a toddler (ahem, princess) give a manicure to someone else before? ;)
Well, today is your lucky day...
You know we had to take a pic to show off our royal manicures. Don't we look just like true #DisneyBeauties? :)
And after all that "hard" work, it was time to sit back and relax and enjoy a movie. But a princess doesn't watch just any ole movie. We finally broke out the Sleeping Beauty Diamond Edition Gift Set we had picked up at Walmart while on our royal shopping spree...
This day was definitely a day fit for a princess. And was a much needed mommy/daughter day for us.
How would you make your little one feel like a Princess For the Day? :)
Who is their favorite Disney princess?
