I am so thrilled to have Erica of Pixie and Pirate Destinations on the blog today chatting with us all about what is on her short list of must-do's when visiting Disney around Halloween. After reading through her recommendations, I may be hitting her up to help us plan a little trip to the Magic Kingdom for next Halloween... ;)
Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year at the Walt Disney World resort.
We’ve been lucky to have had great weather for the trips
we’ve made in the fall- it’s a great time of year!
The parks and resorts are all decorated for the holidays-
It’s just amazing!
I’ve decided to share with you some of my favorite things to
do at Walt Disney World during the Halloween Season:
1. Attend Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party. This
requires a separate ticket for admission but it’s worth it in my opinion.
I’ve attended 3 of these over the years and it never gets old. The Boo To You parade is my favorite parade. Adults can dress up and trick or treat throughout the Magic Kingdom park.

2. Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. This event
does NOT require an extra ticket for admission. You can sample food &
drinks from all over the world. Each booth has different items for sale for you
to try.
3. Campfires at the Wilderness Lodge resort. From the Walt
Disney World website: "Gather ’round the campfire for lively storytelling, spirited
sing-alongs and tasty treats: we’ll provide complimentary marshmallows and
roasting sticks, while supplies last. For super sweet tooths, s’mores kits and
other refreshments are available for purchase at most locations — or you can
bring your own. Blankets or something to sit on are welcome so that you and
your brood can get comfy and cozy."
We specifically plan trips around
some of the “special” events at Walt Disney World.
Even though we’ve been to 3 of the
Halloween parties, every time it’s something different that keeps us coming
back.
