Tailgating with Toddlers {And a Recipe From Patching Hearts!}

In keeping with my fun game day recipes from last Friday, Karen from Patching Hearts is here today sharing some easy toddler friendly tailgating recipes.  Just because you have small kids doesn't mean you have to give up your football fun! ;) How great are these kid-sized snacks?  (And can the adults eat them too??)

Thank you, Carrie for allowing me to guest post today.  My family and I tailgate at least 1-2 times a year for Navy Football games.  While I'm not a huge football fan, we have friends with season tickets so we love going and hanging out.  My kids are very picky eaters.  It's hard to find easy fun food that kids will love to eat and that is easy to travel with.  One of my staples are pepperoni rolls and fruit kabobs (not always together though).

Pepperoni rolls are crescent rolls filled with pepperoni and mozzerella cheese.  Sounds delicious right?  It is!  You can also dip them in pizza sauce to make them even more fun.

Ingredients:
1 can refrigerated crescent rolls
pepperoni slices
Mozzerella Cheese
garlic powder
pizza sauce

Preheat oven to 375.

Unroll crescent rolls and separate into 8 triangles. Place slices of pepperoni on each crescent roll. Top pepperoni with cheese. Sprinkle crescent rolls with garlic powder. Place rolls on baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve with a side of warm pizza sauce.

Another favorite are Fruit Kabobs.  My kids LOVE these and they are so easy!  I bought some fun kabob sticks and just add my kid's favorite fruits.  I actually packed this one for my daughter's lunch.  They are super easy and fun!

Happy Tailgating!
