Honey Buffalo Butterfly Shrimp Tacos
Crispy breaded shrimp are tossed in a homemade honey buffalo sauce & then wrapped up in warm flour tortillas with a creamy Ranch coleslaw in these Honey Buffalo Butterfly Shrimp Tacos.
prep time: 10 min cook time: 14 min total time: 24 min
ingredients:
- 1 (9 oz.) package SeaPak Jumbo Butterfly Shrimp (cooked according to package directions)
- 1/4 cup hot sauce
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) of cold unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (to your heat preference)
- Salt, to taste
- 4 flour tortillas
For the Ranch coleslaw
- 2 cups of prepared coleslaw mix
- 2 stalks of celery, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup of your favorite Ranch dressing
instructions:
How to cook Honey Buffalo Butterfly Shrimp Tacos
- Bake or fry the butterfly shrimp according to the package directions.
- While the shrimp are cooking, prepare the honey buffalo sauce. Combine the hot sauce, butter, vinegar, honey, & cayenne pepper in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat until the butter has completely melted, about 3-5 minutes. Whisk until smooth. Season with salt, to taste.
- To prepare the Ranch coleslaw: Combine the coleslaw mix, sliced celery, and Ranch dressing in a small mixing bowl. Toss well to combine. Set aside or store covered in the refrigerator until you are ready to assemble your tacos.
- To serve the tacos: While the shrimp are still hot, quickly toss them in the honey buffalo sauce. Place 3 shrimp into the center of each of the 4 tortillas. Add about 1/2 cup of the Ranch coleslaw to each taco. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
